Hallaton Bottle Kicking (2004)

03d.jpg

Photography Note

The photographs were taken using a Nikon D1 camera and AF-Nikkor 20-35mm f/2.8D, recording images in JPG 'fine' format. This early Nikon DSLR - the first of Nikon's professional digital camera series - produced image files with a maximum resolution of 2000x1312 pixels (2.7 megapixels). The D1 used the NTSC colour space instead of the conventional sRGB or Adobe RGB colour spaces; the images therefore required significant processing to correct the colour issues. For display here, the image files were processed through Adobe Lightroom and DxO FilmPack 8.

The series was first exhibited at Hallaton Museum (in 2004) and more recently by the f/8 Documentary Group (April 2026).
