Malham
17 August 2025
Malham is one of the most celebrated villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park (designated in 1956), a place where geology, landscape, and rural tradition combine to create one of the most distinctive environments in northern England. In 2016, the
western boundary of the National Park was extended towards the M6 motorway in Lancashire and Westmorland, increasing its area to 2179km2 (841 square miles) and making it the second largest National Park (by area) in England, after the Lake District.
