Held each October in one of the most remote valleys of the Lake District, Wasdale Shepherds’ Meet is a long-established gathering rooted in the traditions of upland farming. Originally created as a practical meeting for shepherds to trade sheep, discuss breeding, and socialise after the summer grazing season, it has evolved into a wider community event while retaining its strong agricultural focus.
